There is no distortion of the 16:9 format signal (which is used for movies, for instance). In the case of computer signals we recommend using graphics cards which support the 16:9 format. These are available from almost all graphics card providers, though in some cases you will need to update the graphics card driver. For PowerPoint you just have to set up a MASTER in 16:9 format (e.g., Width 32; Height 18). In the case of 4:3 format video signals, NEC plasma monitors offer several display options. Apart from FULL mode, where the image is stretched evenly across the entire screen width, you also have the options of 4:3 NORMAL mode, which displays an unstretched image with bars to left and right, and of STADIUM mode, where the correct proportions are retained in the centre while the sections to each side are stretched, as well as 14:9 mode, ZOOM mode and 2.35:1 mode.
